Lakers look for repeat performance vs. Clippers
Nov 5, 2008 - 3:19 PM LA Clippers (0-4) at LA Lakers (3-0) 10:30 p.m. ESTLOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Clippers look to notch their first victory of the season and exact a bit of revenge for a blowout loss last week when they take on the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday.
As the home team at the Staples Center on October 29, the Clippers were dominated by the Lakers, 117-79. Seven Lakers' players collected double-digit point totals and the team dominated the glass, 51-32, while limiting the Clippers to just 39 percent (30-of-78) shooting from the field.
The defending Western Conference champions have won five straight over their city rivals.
Baron Davis, who struggled in his Clippers debut against the Lakers, left Friday's overtime loss to Denver with a sore hip.
After missing the 22-point defeat in Utah on Saturday, the guard posted 14 points and nine assists in 32 minutes off the bench Monday.
Marcus Camby, who missed the first game against the Lakers due to a heel problem, also will be in the lineup.
