Duncan, Spurs take road show into Golden State

Nov 27, 2006 - 3:15 PM San Antonio (11-3) at Golden State (8-6) 10:30 pm EST

OAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs love the taste of room service.

Duncan looks to lead the Spurs to their eighth win in as many road games this season when they face off against the Golden State Warriors on Monday.

San Antonio extended its perfect stretch away from the AT&T Center on Sunday night, posting a 98-78 triumph in Seattle behind 18 points, 16 rebounds and six assists from Duncan.

Tony Parker chipped in 20 points, Fabricio Oberto 16 and Brent Barry 12 for the Spurs, who have surrendered more than 100 points just once this season - an overtime loss to Phoenix on November 8.

Other than the Spurs, every other NBA team already has at least two road losses. But Golden State will try and end San Antonio's run two days after recording one of its most impressive wins of the young season.

The Warriors captured a 91-78 victory against the previously 12-1 Utah Jazz on Saturday. Matt Barnes scored 17 of his career-high 24 points in the third quarter and Monta Ellis added 21 points for Golden State, which held Utah to 32 percent (27-of-83) shooting and forced 22 turnovers.

It remains to be seen if the momentum generated from that win will be enough for the Warriors to snap a seven-game losing streak to the Spurs. In fact, Golden State lost all four meetings with San Antonio last season and has dropped 30 of the last 34 encounters between the teams.
