Hawks eye fourth straight win

Nov 7, 2008 - 11:26 AM Toronto (3-1) at Atlanta (3-0), 7:30 p.m. EST

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Hawks seem to have carried last season's momentum to the start of the new campaign.

Atlanta looks to win its fourth straight game as it hosts the Toronto Raptors on Friday.

Coming off their first postseason appearance since 1999, the Hawks are off to their first 3-0 start since they began 11-0 during the 1997-98 season. Atlanta pushed the eventual champion Boston Celtics to seven games in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Joe Johnson scored 24 points as Atlanta had five players in double figures during Wednesday's 87-79 victory at the New Orleans Hornets. Johnson leads the team in scoring at 28.0 points per contest.

Toronto, which also got off to a fast start this season, is coming off a 100-93 setback against the Detroit Pistons.

Chris Bosh seems to be thriving along side Jermaine O'Neal, averaging 26.0 points and 10.8 rebounds so far this season.

The Raptors won two of the three meetings between the teams last season.
