James, Cavaliers eye fifth straight win

Nov 11, 2008 - 2:45 PM Milwaukee (3-4) at Cleveland (5-2), 7:00 p.m. EST

CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers can match their longest winning streak from all of last season just eight games into the new campaign.

Cleveland goes for its fifth straight win when it hosts the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.

James scored 41 points for the second time in three games as the Cavaliers won their fourth straight game with a 106-97 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday. Cleveland won five consecutive contests from January 11-23 during the last campaign.

After helping the United States win gold in Beijing this past summer, James has shown no signs of slowing down. The 23-year-old is averaging 28.1 points, 8.8 rebounds and 7.0 assists.

Milwaukee comes in on a two-game losing streak after dropping a 104-96 decision to the Phoenix Suns on Saturday.

Under new coach Scott Skiles, the Bucks are led by a balanced attack with seven players averaging at least 9.4 points per game.

The team will hope to have leading scorer Michael Redd back in the lineup after the shooting guard has missed the last three games with a sprained ankle.

The Bucks won three of the four meetings last season.
