McGrady looking to bounce back after two dismal performances

Nov 12, 2008 - 11:25 AM Houston (4-3) at Phoenix (6-2) 10:30 p.m. EST

PHOENIX (Ticker) -- After a pair of atrocious performances on the road, Tracy McGrady tries to get back on track when the Houston Rockets visit the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.

McGrady registered a season-high 30 points and eight assists during a heartbreaking 101-99 overtime loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday - the first contest in a campaign-high tying five-game road trip.

The seven-time All-Star has completely fallen off in two games since his best effort of the season. McGrady scored two points while missing all five shots from the field during a nine-point victory against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday. He notched three points and finished 1-of-11 from the floor on Sunday as Houston endured a 111-82 beating by the Los Angeles Lakers.

"It is rough," McGrady said following the Lakers loss. "These were probably the worst two games of my career. Of course we are going to have some games like that, but unfortunately I had two in a row. It is a long season and I am not worried about it."

The Suns are coming off their ninth straight win against the Memphis Grizzlies, forging a 107-102 victory on Monday. Leandro Barbosa scored 16 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter, including a go-ahead 3-pointer in the final minute, leading Phoenix to back-to-back victories.
