Knicks take on lowly Thunder

Nov 14, 2008 - 11:25 AM Oklahoma City (1-7) at New York (5-3) 7:30 p.m. EST

NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The New York Knicks' 132-point outburst was their best in nearly two years and set the mark for most points scored in an NBA game this season.

The Knicks will attempt to replicate that effort when they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday.

Wilson Chandler scored a career-high 27 points on 11-of-12 shooting and the Knicks sank a franchise-record 19 3-pointers in the 132-103 victory over Memphis.

Jamal Crawford added 25 points and Nate Robinson sank all eight shots from the field and five free throw attempts for 21 off the bench.

In stark contrast to New York, which ranks second in the NBA at 103.4 points per game, Oklahoma City is the worst shooting team in the league at 40 percent, scoring only 88.5 points per contest.

The Thunder, who were routed by Orlando, 109-92, on Wednesday have lost five straight since capturing their first win on November 2 over the Grizzlies.

Kevin Durant is Oklahoma City's leading scorer at 22 points a game but the second-year swingman missed the tilt against the Magic with a sore left ankle.
