Spurs look to build on momentum at Kings

Nov 16, 2008 - 8:46 AM San Antonio (3-5) at Sacramento (4-6), 9:00 p.m. EST

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- The San Antonio Spurs will try to win back-to-back games for the first time this season when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Sunday.

San Antonio is coming off a 77-75 victory over the Houston Rockets on Friday as Tim Duncan blocked Aaron Brooks' layup in the game's waning seconds.

With injuries to Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker, Duncan has continued his steady play, averaging 24.9 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.

Rookie George Hill and Roger Mason have also stepped it up for the Spurs. Hill scored a career-high 17 in Friday's win, while the four-year veteran Mason is averaging 13.3 points.

Sacramento is coming off a 97-95 overtime loss to the Phoenix Suns on Friday.

John Salmons had 21 points and Brad Miller added 20, 11 rebounds and seven assists in the setback.

The Kings have been without leading scorer Kevin Martin, who has missed the last three games with a sprained left ankle. He should return within the next week.
