Magic overcoming struggles by Howard

Nov 18, 2008 - 1:51 PM Toronto (5-4) at Orlando (7-3) 7:00 p.m. EST

ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- The Orlando Magic are proving they can win with limited production from their best player.

Dwight Howard looks to get untracked Tuesday when the Magic host the Toronto Raptors aiming for their fourth straight win.

The Magic are coming off a 90-85 victory against the Charlotte Bobcats on Sunday in which Howard - the team's leading scorer and rebounder - endured one of the worst performances of his career.

The 22-year-old center has averaged 21.3 points and 14.0 rebounds this campaign but scored a season-low four points and pulled down seven boards before fouling out against the Bobcats.

The other four starters for the Magic picked up the slack, pouring in at least 15 points each, led by Hedo Turkoglu's 20 points.

Howard has enjoyed past success against the Raptors, averaging 23.3 points and 16.1 rebounds in eight meetings last season. Orlando won two of three regular-season games against Toronto before bouncing its Eastern Conference foes in five games during the first round of the playoffs.

The Raptors snapped a two-game losing streak on Sunday, claiming a 107-96 victory against the Miami Heat. Chris Bosh scored 27 points while Jermaine O'Neal added 11 and 18 rebounds.
