Grizzlies look to get defense back on track

Nov 18, 2008 - 2:20 PM Sacramento (4-7) at Memphis (3-7), 8:00 p.m. EST

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The Memphis Grizzlies have struggled to stop the opposition over their last six games. A meeting with the Sacramento Kings could cure the Grizzlies' woes.

Memphis tries to end a four-game losing streak on Tuesday when it hosts the Kings.

The Grizzlies have surrendered at least 100 points in each of their last six games, losing five times over that span, including a 101-96 setback to the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday.

Memphis' struggles on defense have only come recently. The Grizzlies opened the campaign with two wins in their first four games, allowing opponents to eclipse 84 points just once over that span.

The Kings have dropped two games in a row and three of their last four overall, failing to score more than 95 points in any of those losses. Sacramento has not earned a win this season when failing to reach triple digits on the scoreboard.

The Kings held a four-point lead entering the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the San Antonio Spurs, but scored just 16 points in the final frame en route to a 90-88 loss.
