Roy leads Trail Blazers against Warriors

Nov 18, 2008 - 2:49 PM Portland (6-4) at Golden State (4-6) 10:30 p.m. EST

OAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- While the return of Greg Oden has injected some life into the Portland Trail Blazers, Brandon Roy continues to carry the upstart franchise.

The talented youngsters will attempt to help Portland capture its sixth win in seven games when they visit the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday.

A night after recording his first career double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds in an 87-82 loss to New Orleans, Oden set a career high with 13 points as Portland bounced back with an 88-83 win over Minnesota on Saturday.

Roy has been steady to open the season for the Trail Blazers, averaging team-highs with 21.3 points and 5.4 assists.

After locking up captain Stephen Jackson with a contract extension on Monday, Golden State will look for the swingman to continue his stellar play.

Jackson is averaging 22.1 points and 6.4 assists in 10 games while playing a league-high 43.4 minutes per game in coach Don Nelson's run-and-gun offense.

Anthony Morrow exploded for 37 points and 11 rebounds in a 121-103 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday.

The rookie guard was 15-of-20 from the field, including 4-of-5 from the arc.
