EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) - The New Jersey Nets aim to get back on the winning track Tuesday when they host the struggling Charlotte Bobcats.

The Nets have lost five straight games, their longest skid in two years.

New Jersey fell, 99-93, to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, its fourth straight road loss.

Vince Carter led New Jersey with 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Nenad Krstic scored 20 points. Jason Kidd handed out 16 assists but was held to fewer than 10 points for the fourth straight game.

Charlotte lost, 102-93, to Miami on Saturday, its fourth defeat in five contests. Rookie Adam Morrison tied a season high with 27 points and Gerald Wallace added 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Morrison, who leads all NBA rookies in scoring at 15.5 points per game, has averaged 22 points in his last three contests.

The Bobcats, who have lost two straight games, are just 1-5 on the road this season. However, their only win in eight games vs. the Nets came on the road on December 14, 2005.
