Bulls return home for rematch vs. Knicks

Nov 28, 2006 - 3:09 PM New York (5-10) at Chicago (4-9) 8:30 pm EST

CHICAGO (Ticker) - After losing the first six contests of a seven-game road trip, the Chicago Bulls found a ray of hope against the New York Knicks.

Luol Deng and the Bulls try to build on Saturday's victory over the Knicks when the teams meet Tuesday in the second game of a their home-and-home series.

Deng made 11-of-21 shots, scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Chicago in Saturday's 106-95 win over New York. Kirk Hinrich had 21 points, Andres Nocioni added 19 and Malik Allen 15.

One game after failing to grab a rebound against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday, Ben Wallace collected seven and scored five points. However, he was benched for an extended period of time for violating a team rule banning headbands.

Jamal Crawford scored 26 points, Eddy Curry added 20 and Steve Francis 15 for the Knicks, who committed 26 turnovers and lost for the fourth time in five outings.

Stephon Marbury, who clashed with coach Larry Brown last season over playing time and his role on offense, played less than 20 minutes and did not take a shot.

New York will be without Channing Frye, who will miss three to six weeks after spraining his left ankle Saturday. Teammate Quentin Richardson is listed as day-to-day with a strained left hamstring.
