Rockets look to stay hot vs. Timberwolves

HOUSTON (Ticker) - The Rockets aim for their fourth straight win when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday.

Houston has won eight of its last 10 games after defeating Memphis, 85-76, on Saturday.

Yao Ming scored 28 points against the Grizzlies. The 7-5 center is averaging 26.4 points in 2006-07, four more than last season.

Tracy McGrady added 19 points and tied his career high with 13 assists for Houston, which improved to 5-1 at home this season after tying for the worst home record in the league last year.

Minnesota has won three of four, but lost to Dallas, 93-87, on Monday. Kevin Garnett tallied 19 points and 12 rebounds and rookie Randy Foye had a season-high 17 points for the Timberwolves, who fell to 2-5 on the road this season.

Garnett has recorded a double-double in 11 of 13 games in 2006-07.

Point guard Mike James, who scored 10 points vs. the Mavericks, had 49 in two games last season against the Rockets when he was a member of the Toronto Raptors.

The Rockets dropped their last four meetings in Houston with the Timberwolves.
