Pacers try to reverse road troubles

Nov 28, 2006 - 3:24 PM Indiana (7-7) at Portland (6-9) 10:00 pm EST

PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) - The Indiana Pacers hope to right a poor start on the road Tuesday when they face the Portland Trail Blazers, who have problems of their own.

Indiana began a season-high six-game road swing on Sunday with a 92-83 loss to the Toronto Raptors.

Danny Granger and Stephen Jackson scored 18 points to lead the Pacers, who shot a season-low 37 percent from the field. The Pacers, who come into this game ranking 29th in the league with a 41.9 field-goal percentage, have failed to even reach that mark in their last three games.

The Pacers have won the past five meetings vs. the Trail Blazers, and won both games last season by an average of 26 points.

Portland has lost three of four and seven of its last nine games. The Blazers suffered a 119-101 blowout loss at the hands of the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.

Travis Outlaw scored a career-high 22 points and Zach Randolph added 18 and nine rebounds for Portland, which has dropped three of its last four at home.

Randolph left the game in the third quarter with an apparent knee injury and did not return. His status for Tuesday's game is unknown.
