Bulls aiming for first win on the road

Nov 21, 2008 - 11:29 AM Chicago (5-7) at Golden State (5-6) 10:30 p.m. EST

OAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- The Chicago Bulls' play on the road has become an embarrassment .

The Bulls look to bounce back from a 42-loss to the Portland Trail Blazers when they face the Golden State Warriors on Friday.

Chicago, which is on the first of two seven-game road trips, was dominated from the opening tip on Wednesday, suffering a 116-74 loss one night after dropping a seven-point decision to the Los Angeles Lakers in the opener of its swing.

The Bulls shot 25 percent in the opening quarter against the Blazers en route to a 34-13 deficit. In two quarters, Chicago barely matched Portland's first-quarter production, with the half ending, 64-37, in favor of the Blazers as the Bulls were whistled for 21 fouls.

With the loss, Chicago, which went 13-28 on the road last season, fell to 0-5 away from the United Center.

"I don't even know what to say," said Bulls forward Joakim Noah, who had four points before fouling out against Portland. "It's a long season, and we've got a lot of growing to do."

The Warriors, who posted a 27-14 record at Oracle Arena in 2007-08, have not enjoyed the same success this campaign, improving to 3-3 there with a 111-106 victory against Portland on Tuesday.
