Cavaliers look to bounce back against Hawks

Nov 22, 2008 - 11:18 AM Atlanta (8-4) at Cleveland (9-3), 7:30 p.m. EST

CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- The Cleveland Cavaliers hope to start a new winning streak when they host the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday.

Cleveland had its eight-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday, dropping a 96-89 contest at the Detroit Pistons.

It was the lowest point total since the season opener for Cleveland, which had scored at least 99 points in every game during its winning streak.

LeBron James scored 25 points but shot a season-low 38 percent on 8-of-21 from the floor in the loss. James is averaging 31.8 points at home, where the Cavaliers are 6-0 this season.

The Hawks are coming off back-to-back home wins, which come on the heels of a four-game losing streak.

Joe Johnson scored 30 points and Marvin Williams had 22 and 10 rebounds as Atlanta posted an 88-83 victory over Charlotte on Friday.

Atlanta, which has lost its last three road games, dropped two of the three meetings between the teams last season.
