Redd-less Bucks seek second straight win vs. Bobcats

Nov 22, 2008 - 11:19 AM Milwaukee (6-8) at Charlotte (3-8) 7:00 pm. EST

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The Milwaukee Bucks will likely be without Michael Redd yet again on Saturday when they open a four-game road trip against the Charlotte Bobcats.

The Bucks' leading scorer has missed the last 10 games with a high ankle sprain, and there is no timetable for his return. Redd is averaging 21.3 points in four games.

The good news is that forward Charlie Villanueva seems to be getting healthy. Villanueva, who had missed four games with a strained hamstring, scored 20 points off the bench in a 104-87 win over New York on Friday.

The return of Villaneuva will take some pressure off of Richard Jefferson, who is averaging 18.1 points and has been picking up the slack for Redd.

Jefferson shot just 4-of-16 from the floor against the Knicks, but should rebound against the Bobcats. Jefferson, who was acquired from New Jersey in the offseason, is averaging 24.5 points in 13 career games vs. Charlotte.

The Bobcats will look to bounce back after blowing a 13-point lead in an 88-83 loss to Atlanta on Friday. Rookie D.J. Augustin scored a season-high 26 points in his first career start.
