Bulls continue road trip at Nuggets

Nov 23, 2008 - 8:08 AM Chicago (6-7) at Denver (8-5), 9:00 p.m. EST

DENVER (Ticker) -- The Chicago Bulls hope to continue to build momentum on a long road trip when they visit the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.

Chicago opened its seven-game stretch with back-to-back losses against the Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers, respectively, before holding on for a 115-110 victory at Golden State on Friday.

Larry Hughes scored 26 points and rookie Derrick Rose added 25 before leaving with an injury late in the win.

Rose fell to the floor in pain late in the quarter with a hip bruise, but said he will be fine for Sunday.

"I'm all right now," Rose said. "I just have to ice it and get a massage (Saturday). I'm not missing that game."

Denver had its four-game winning streak snapped on Friday, losing 104-90 to the Lakers.

Nene and J.R. Smith each scored 18 points to lead the Nuggets, who are 7-2 since trading Allen Iverson for Chauncey Billups.
