Rockets conclude east coast swing against Heat

Nov 24, 2008 - 3:20 PM Houston (9-5) at Miami (7-6) 7:30 p.m. EST

MIAMI (Ticker) -- The Houston Rockets look to complete a perfect road trip and win for the fifth time in six games when they take on the Miami Heat on Monday.

After a win over Washington on Friday, Houston faced a stiffer test in the form of Dwight Howard and Orlando the following night. Yao and the Rockets limited Howard to just 13 points, his second-lowest output of the season in a 100-95 win.

Yao finished with 22 points and 13 rebounds while Tracy McGrady and Rafer Alston added 17 points apiece.

Houston has allowed a Western Conference low 90 points a game and trails only Boston, who have allowed 89.9 per contest, for the NBA lead.

Dwyane Wade has led the Heat in scoring in all but one contest this year, including 78 combined points in the last two contests.

The All-Star followed his season-high 40-point performance on Wednesday against Toronto with 38 in a 109-100 triumph against Indiana on Saturday. Wade has also dished out 9.3 assists a game in his last four.

After winning its first two games against the West, Miami has dropped two straight. They have yet to win more than three straight while avoiding consecutive losses so far this season.
