Bucks bench primed to extend winning streak

Nov 24, 2008 - 3:23 PM Milwaukee (7-8) at Orlando (9-4) 7:00 p.m. EST

ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- Charlie Villanueva and Ramon Sessions are becoming a potent combination off the bench for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Those two will try to maintain their current high level of play as the Bucks aim for their first three-game winning streak of the season against the Orlando Magic on Monday.

Villanueva and Sessions have combined for 68 points over the past two games to lead Milwaukee past New York and Charlotte.

The production off the bench has been especially important with sharpshooter Michael Redd still out of the lineup. The All-Star guard has been out since November 2 with a sprained right ankle, and Charlie Bell and Luke Ridnour have been inconsistent in his place.

Sessions led the Bucks with 18 points against the Bobcats on Saturday, clinching the win with a pair of free throws in the final minute.

The Magic had a five-game winning streak snapped with a 100-95 loss vs. Houston on Saturday. Dwight Howard was held to 13 points and nine rebounds in the setback.

Starting guard Hedo Turkoglu, who is averaging 16.7 points per game, sat out the loss with the flu.

All five Orlando starters are averaging at least 13.3 points.
