Nets seek to end losing streak in Sacramento

Nov 26, 2008 - 11:24 AM New Jersey (6-7) at Sacramento (5-11) 10:00 pm. EST

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- The New Jersey Nets aim to avoid a 10th straight road loss to the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday when they continue their West Coast trip.

New Jersey recorded its worst shooting performance on Tuesday in a 120-93 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Devin Harris scored 21 points and added six assists for New Jersey, which was limited to 34.5 percent from the floor.

The Nets, who are 3-3 on the road, are looking to win in Sacramento for the first time since an 87-73 triumph on November 30, 1997. They will have to play better defense to do so. New Jersey is allowing 118.0 points in its last three games on the road.

Making matters worse, the Nets are allowing 110.0 points per game during their nine-game losing streak here.

Sacramento hopes its history against New Jersey will help it end a a four-game skid. John Salmons scored 20 points in a 91-90 loss to Portland on Monday.
