Bucks struggling without G Redd

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Milwaukee Bucks are struggling to stay afloat without Michael Redd.

The Bucks continue their four-game road trip without Redd when they visit the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.

An Olympian and the team's leading scorer in each of the last five seasons, Redd sprained his right ankle while diving for a loose ball during a 94-86 victory against the New York Knicks on November 2. The 29-year-old guard has not played in 12 games since and Milwaukee has posted a 5-7 record over that span.

Redd, who is listed as day-to-day, did not accompany the Bucks on their road swing, which opened with a five-point victory against the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday and continued with a 108-101 loss to the Orlando Magic Monday.

Milwaukee will try to bounce back against the Hawks, who had a two-game winning streak end on Saturday while high-flying forward Josh Smith missed his ninth straight game while recovering from a high left ankle sprain.

Maurice Evans (21) and Acie Law (20) combined for 41 points off the bench, but it was not enough as Atlanta dropped a 110-96 decision to the Cleveland Cavaliers, falling to 4-4 on the road.
