Lewis, Turkoglu providing support for Howard, Magic
Nov 26, 2008 - 11:25 AM Orlando (10-4) at Philadelphia (7-7) 7:30 p.m. ESTPHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Dwight Howard has been the key to the Orlando Magic's success. If their last game is any indication, Howard may be getting some added support.
Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu look to continue their resurgence when the Magic visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.
Howard, Orlando's leading scorer and rebounder, had 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds during the Magic's 108-101 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday.
Overshadowing Howard's performance was the play of Lewis and Turkoglu, who found their stride after struggling with their shot for most of the season.
The frontcourt duo scored 22 points apiece, hit a combined four 3-pointers and each drained a pair of free throws to seal the victory as Orlando rebounded from Saturday's loss to Houston to win for the sixth time in seven games.
It was a welcome recovery for Turkoglu, who was out with the flu on Saturday and was even less productive on the previous night when he went 1-for-13 in a win over Indiana.
Lewis is averaging 17.5 points and nearly seven rebounds a game for the Magic, but is shooting only 34 percent from beyond the arc.
The 76ers are looking to get back on track against Orlando after dropping a 93-84 decision to the Charlotte Bobcats on Monday.
Philadelphia was led by Elton Brand's 18 points and also got 17 from Andre Igoudala, but the team shot 39.5 percent from the floor en route to its second loss in seven games.
