Rondo keying red-hot Celtics, who seek sixth straight win

Nov 26, 2008 - 11:22 AM Golden State (5-9) at Boston (13-2) 7:30 pm. EST

BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Celtics will seek their second six-game winning streak on Wednesday when they host the Golden State Warriors.

Boston, which has won its last three games by an average of 16 points, has been getting stellar play out of point guard Rajon Rondo.

Often overshadowed by "The Big Three," Rondo has begun to assert himself offensively. The third-year pro is averaging 15.3 during the Celtics' five-game winning streak.

Rondo scored 15 points and was one of six players in double figures, leading the Celtics to a 118-103 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday.

Rondo and Boston may find little resistance from the Warriors, who allowed lowly Washington to shoot 50 percent from the floor in a 124-100 loss on Tuesday. Golden State, which is 0-2 on its five-game road trip, committed 26 turnovers and was outrebounded, 54-40.

Jamal Crawford had a quiet debut for the Warriors, scoring seven points and notching nine assists. Crawford was acquired from the New York Knicks on Friday for disgruntled forward Al Harrington.

Golden State is looking to avoid losing four straight for the first time since starting 0-6 last season.
