Paul looks to lead Hornets to fourth straight win

Nov 27, 2008 - 9:55 AM New Orleans (8-5) at Denver (10-5), 10:30 p.m. EST

DENVER (Ticker) -- After a slow start, the New Orleans Hornets are beginning to turn things around.

Chris Paul is most of the reason why.

Paul hopes to lead the Hornets to their fourth straight win when they visit the Denver Nuggets on Thursday.

The New Orleans point guard has recorded consecutive triple-doubles and had 14 points, 10 rebounds and 17 assists in the Hornets' 99-87 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.

Paul, who has six career triple-doubles, is averaging 20.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and a league-leading 12.2 assists.

Winners of six of seven, Denver is coming off a 106-105 victory over the Clippers on Wednesday. Carmelo Anthony had a season-high 30 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

Denver, which is 9-2 since acquiring Chauncey Billups, has won five straight home games.
