Mavericks seek sixth straight win over Raptors
Nov 29, 2006 - 4:06 PM Toronto (5-9) at Dallas (10-4) 8:30 pm ESTDALLAS (Ticker) -- Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks go for their sixth win in a row against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.
Nowitzki averaged 30.5 points and 11 rebounds in the two victories over the Raptors last season. The Mavericks have won 21 consecutive home games against Eastern Conference opponents.
Dallas pushed its league-high winning streak to 10 games following a 93-87 victory over Minnesota on Monday. Nowitzki and Josh Howard both scored 15 points and Jerry Stackhouse added 14 for the Mavericks, who had six players reach double figures in scoring.
Dallas' last loss was on November 8 vs. the Los Angeles Clippers, capping a four-game losing streak.
The Raptors have strung together back-to-back wins for the first time this season and a re coming off a 94-77 victory over the New Orleans Hornets on Tuesday.
Chris Bosh, who had 14 rebounds, and Anthony Parker both netted 19 points and rookie Andrea Bargnani added a season-high 16 for Toronto, which held its opponent to 32 second-half points.
The win snapped the Raptors' 14-game losing streak on the road.
