Two hot clubs collide in Phoenix
Nov 29, 2006 - 4:08 PM Houston (10-4) at Phoenix (7-6) 9:00 pm ESTPHOENIX (Ticker) -- Two clubs playing solid basketball tangle on Wednesday when the Houston Rockets visit the Phoenix Suns.
Both the Rockets and Suns enter with four-game winning streaks.
The Suns were impressive in their latest victory, a 119-101 rout of the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday. Raja Bell led the Suns with 30 points while Steve Nash finished with 23 and Amare Stoudemire scored 20.
The Suns led by 12 points at halftime but pulled away by outscoring the Trail Blazers, 34-25, in the third quarter.
Houston concluded its three-game homestand with an 82-75 triumph over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday.
Yao Ming led the Rockets with 25 points while Shane Battier scored 17 and Rafer Alston added 15.
Houston won despite shooting only 28 percent from the floor while allowing Minnesota to shoot 46 percent.
