The surprising Magic look to remain on a roll vs. Sonics

Nov 29, 2006 - 4:26 PM Orlando (11-4) at Seattle (6-9) 10:00 pm EST

SEATTLE (Ticker) -- The surprising Orlando Magic are coming off a win over one the Western Conference's best teams. They hope to keep their impressive run going against a lesser opponent.

Riding a four-game winning steak, the Magic will take on the Seattle SuperSonics on the road on Wednesday.

Dwight Howard scored 21 points and had 16 rebounds to lead Orlando to their fourth straight win, an 88-75 victory over Utah. Grant Hill scored 16 points for the Magic, who never trailed after the first 2 1/2 minutes, shot 39 percent (30-of-76) from the field and held a 45-36 advantage on the glass.

The win got Orlando off to its best 15-game start since 1999 when they also started 11-4.

Ray Allen scored 21 points and Nick Collison collected 15 points and seven rebounds for Seattle, which shot just 38 percent (33-of-86), including 1-of-10 from the arc, in a 98-78 loss to San Antonio. Trailing by 10 points at halftime, Seattle battled in the second half, cutting the deficit to 76-73 on Allen's jumper with 7:50 remaining in the game.

The Sonics have lost two in a row and five of their last seven. However, they have won 11 of their last 14 contests against the Magic at home.
