Wade looks to continue scoring binge vs. Bobcats
Dec 8, 2008 - 2:31 PM Charlotte (7-13) at Miami (11-9) 7:30 pm. ESTMIAMI (Ticker) -- Dwyane Wade is apparently healthy and ready to help the Miami Heat rebound from a horrible 2007-08 season.
The league's leading scorer looks to lead the Heat to a season-high fourth straight win on Monday against the Charlotte Bobcats.
Wade was slowed by shoulder and knee injuries last season, and Miami suffered through a franchise-worst 15-67 campaign. The 2006 Finals MVP seemed to regain his form in Beijing though, where he helped lead Team USA to a gold medal.
"The Flash" has carried that momentum in the NBA regular season, as he is averaging 28.9 points, 7.7 assists and 4.9 rebounds.
Wade has been even better recently, posting averages of 33.4 points, 8.4 assists and 4.8 rebounds while helping Miami to four win in its last five games.
As a result, the Heat are off to their best start since 2004-05. Wade had 38 points, seven assists and five rebounds in a 105-99 win over Oklahoma City on Saturday.
He should have his way with the Bobcats, who dropped a second straight game on Saturday, 94-74, to Cleveland. The league's lowest scoring team (89.6 ppg) shot just 36 percent.
