Bryant, Lakers seek revenge vs. Jazz
Nov 30, 2006 - 1:15 PM Utah (13-3) at LA Lakers (9-5) 10:30 pm ESTLOS ANGELES (Ticker) - Superstar Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers once again will try to defeat the Utah Jazz.
The Lakers welcome in the Jazz on Thursday as they face off for the second time in seven days.
Last Friday, Deron Williams drained the go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:18 remaining in the fourth quarter to help Utah hold on for a 114-108 home triumph.
Los Angeles will try and bounce back from its 109-105 home setback to Milwaukee on Tuesday. Bryant scored 27 points and Lamar Odom came within two assists of recording a triple-double in the defeat.
The Lakers are 8-2 at home this season and have won 18 of their past 21 games at Staples Center overall. They have not dropped consecutive home contests since March.
Carlos Boozer registered 23 points and 16 rebounds and Matt Harpring added 13 and 12 off the bench for the Jazz, who stopped their brief two-game slide with an 83-75 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday.
Utah has won just twice in its last 11 trips here.
