Yao, McGrady lift Rockets past Nuggets
Dec 17, 2008 - 4:16 AM By Gene Duffey PA SportsTicker Contributing WriterHOUSTON (Ticker) -- Yao Ming scored 32 points, Tracy McGrady added a triple-double and the Houston Rockets ended Denver's four-game winning streak with a 108-96 victory Tuesday night at the Toyota Center.
McGrady totaled 20 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists, playing in only his third game after sitting out with soreness in his left knee. It was the fourth triple-double of his career and first since December 2007 vs. Memphis.
Aaron Brooks, starting at point guard for Houston in place of the injured Rafer Alston, chipped in 18 points and six assists. Ron Artest, who has missed three of the last five Rockets games with a sore ankle, came off the bench to score 20 points.
Carmelo Anthony led Denver with 22 points.
