Raptors look to continue strong play at home

Dec 1, 2006 - 1:47 PM Boston (5-9) at Toronto (5-10) 7:00 pm EST

TORONTO (Ticker) - The Toronto Raptors are pleased to be returning home.

The Raptors face the Boston Celtics at Air Canada Centre on Friday.

Chris Bosh and T.J. Ford had 18 points apiece for Toronto during a 117-98 road loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.

The Raptors are 4-2 at home this season but are a lowly 1-8 on the road.

Paul Pierce scored 31 points and Wally Szczerbiak netted 25 for the Celtics as they dropped a 106-103 decision to the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday.

Despite residing at the bottom of the Atlantic Division, the Raptors are just one game behind the first-place Nets. The Celtics are a half-game out.
