Jackson, Pacers continue road trip against SuperSonics

Dec 1, 2006 - 2:15 PM Indiana (9-7) at Seattle (6-10) 10:30 pm EST

SEATTLE (Ticker) - After a slow start to their road trip, the Indiana Pacers and Stephen Jackson have turned things around.

The Pacers want to post their third straight victory Friday when they take on the Seattle SuperSonics, who are trying to avoid a season-high fourth consecutive loss.

Indiana opened its seven-game trek with a disappointing 93-82 defeat against Toronto on Sunday. However, the team rebounded two days later with a 105-97 win against Portland and escaped with a 108-106 triumph in Golden State on Wednesday.

Jackson was the hero against the Warriors, drilling the decisive 3-pointer with one second left. All five Pacers starters scored in double figures, led by Al Harrington's 28 points and Jamaal Tinsley's 23.

Jermaine O'Neal contributed 20 points, Jackson 13 and Jeff Foster 11 as Indiana won for the fifth time in seven games.

Meanwhile, Seattle has dropped its last three contests by an average of 13 points, including Wednesday's 94-84 setback against Orlando. Ray Allen had 21 points and Rashard Lewis added 18, but the rest of the Sonics combined for 45 points on 17-of-45 shooting.

The Pacers and SuperSonics split a pair of meetings last season, with each team winning on its home court.
