Nets looking for better success at home

Dec 29, 2008 - 2:57 PM Chicago (13-17) at New Jersey (15-15), 7:30 p.m. EST

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- Winning on the road has not been a problem for the New Jersey Nets so far this season. It's been the Izod Center that has not been friendly.

New Jersey hopes to have better success at home when it hosts the Chicago Bulls on Monday.

Despite an 10-4 road record, the Nets are just 5-11 at home. New Jersey has lost three straight and six of seven in front of the home crowd.

Vince Carter scored 28 points and Devin Harris had 26 as the Nets won in overtime at Charlotte on Saturday, 114-103.

The Bulls have not fared well on the road this season, dropping seven straight and 14 of 17 overall.

Chicago is wrapping up a four-game road trip and is coming off a 129-117 loss at Atlanta on Saturday.

Ben Gordon scored 33 points in the loss to lead the Bulls, who will be without Luol Deng for two weeks due to a sprained ankle.
