Raptors close out road trip against Warriors
Dec 29, 2008 - 3:08 PM Toronto (12-18) at Golden State (9-22), 10:30pm ESTOAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- The Toronto Raptors have just one more day before they can finally return home.
The Raptors close out their six-game, Western Conference road trip on Monday night as they visit the Golden State Warriors. If they can close the trip out with another victory, it would be considered a rousing success - at least compared to the team's overall performance this month.
Toronto - which may still be getting used to interim head coach Jay Triano, who replaced the fired Sam Mitchell on December 3 - lost nine of 11 to start December, including the first two games of its road trip. But it rebounded with back-to-back victories over the Clippers and Kings before falling to Portland on Saturday.
The Raptors can finish up their road swing at an even 3-3 should they get past the Warriors, who have lost eight of 10. One thing going in their favor is their lineup is starting to round back into shape.
Jamal Crawford returned Sunday after missing two games with a strained groin, while Stephen Jackson is back after missing four games over the last week with a hand injury.
Corey Maggette, however, is still out with a slightly torn hamstring that has sidelined him for the last 12 games dating to December 8.
