Bobcats look to avoid weekend sweep at hands of Bucks

Jan 3, 2009 - 11:17 AM Milwaukee (16-18) at Charlotte (11-22) 7:00 p.m. EST

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The Charlotte Bobcats will have a quick chance at redemption.

Following a humiliating 103-75 road loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night, Charlotte hosts the second-half of a home-and-home Saturday looking to return the favor.

Michael Redd scored a season-high 31 points and Charlie Villanueva outscored the entire Bobcats' bench, 27-24.

Richard Jefferson added 18 points for Milwaukee, which forced 23 turnovers and held Charlotte to just 38 percent (29-of-77) shooting from the field, including 4-of-18 from 3-point range.

Milwaukee has won all three matchups this season and looks for a season sweep Saturday. The previous two wins each came by five points.

After winning four of five, Charlotte is in the midst of a three-game losing streak. A loss would send the Bobcats to a season-low 12 games under .500.

Boris Diaw had 16 points and six assists while Emeka Okafor added 11 and 12 rebounds for Charlotte on Friday.
