Jan 6, 2009 - 3:18 PM New Orleans (20-10) at LA Lakers (27-5) 10:30 p.m. EST

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Lakers put their 15-game home winning streak on the line Tuesday when they host Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets.

Kobe Bryant scored 26 points and Pau Gasol added 19 as the Lakers cruised to their sixth straight win, 100-86, over the shorthanded Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.

The defending Western Conference champions, Los Angeles owns the best record in the league and is averaging a league-best 107.2 points.

The Lakers beat up on a Portland team missing leading scorer Brandon Roy. Los Angeles held the Blazers to 39 percent shooting (32-of-82), but will have a tougher time with the Hornets.

New Orleans is looking to get back on track after having its four-game winning streak snapped in a 105-100 loss to Denver on Saturday. Chris Paul had 30 points and 11 assists but also turned the ball over seven times.

The last time these two teams met in Los Angeles was in April, when they were fighting for the top seed in the West. Bryant had 29 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists in a 107-104 victory that clinched the Pacific Division title.
