Knicks aim for third straight win, season sweep of Wizards

Jan 16, 2009 - 11:34 AM New York (15-22) at Washington (7-31), 7:00 p.m. EST

WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- The New York Knicks hope to match their season-high with a third straight win when they visit the Washington Wizards on Friday.

New York has won all three meetings with the Wizards this season - including a 128-122 victory on Wednesday - and has not swept the season series since the 2003-04 campaign.

David Lee had 30 points and 10 rebounds and Al Harrington scored 27 off the bench to lead the Knicks, who shot 14-of-26 from the arc in the win.

The loss was the sixth consecutive for the Wizards, who are cemented at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.

Nick Young has given Washington some hope toward the future recently, averaging 25.8 points over his last four games. Last season's first-round pick had his second straight 30-point game in Wednesday's loss with a career-high 33 points on 13-of-17 shooting off the bench.

New York won three straight earlier this season from November 5-9.
