Bulls eye sixth straight win over Celtics
Dec 4, 2006 - 3:49 PM Boston (5-10) at Chicago (7-9) 8:30 pm ESTCHICAGO (Ticker) -- The Chicago Bulls go for their sixth straight victory over the Boston Celtics on Monday.
After a 112-94 victory over the Washington Wizards on Saturday, the Bulls extended their winning streak to a season-high four games. Ben Gordon scored 28 points and Andres Nocioni added 24 for Chicago, which shot 51 percent (41-of-81) overall.
Luol Deng had 18 points and nine rebounds and Ben Wallace finished with 10, nine and two blocks for the Bulls, who started off an eight-game homestand on a positive note.
Meanwhile, the Celtics endured their second straight loss, 106-102, to the Toronto Raptors on Friday.
Paul Pierce had 19 points and nine assists and Ryan Gomes added 16 points for Boston, which committed 16 turnovers.
