Lakers eye eighth straight win over Pacers at Staples Center

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Lakers attempt to record their eighth consecutive home win over the Indiana Pacers on Monday.

The Lakers have not dropped a game here to the Pacers since the 1998-99 campaign. However, the two teams did split a pair of meetings last season.

Los Angeles captured its second win in a row after posting a 97-88 victory over the Clippers on Saturday. Kobe Bryant scored 29 points and Lamar Odom added 18, eight rebounds and three blocks for the Lakers, who forced 18 turnovers.

Meanwhile, the Pacers are trying to close out a six-game road trip with a 3-3 record and are coming off a 121-101 defeat at the hands of the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.

Jamaal Tinsley netted 25 points and handed out eight assists and Jermaine O'Neal added 20 points and 16 boards. Al Harrington scored 18 points for Indiana, which committed 26 turnovers.
