Magic look to hand Pacers fourth straight loss

Feb 6, 2009 - 11:19 AM Orlando (37-11) at Indiana (19-31), 7:00 p.m. EST

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Without All-Star point guard Jameer Nelson, the Orlando Magic had no problem scoring against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Indiana Pacers figure not to put up much resistance as well.

Orlando will try and send Indiana to its fourth straight loss when it visits the Pacers on Friday.

Without Nelson, who is sidelined indefinitely with a torn labrum in his right shoulder, the Magic crushed the hapless Clippers, 125-96, on Wednesday.

Backup point guard Anthony Johnson scored 25 points in Nelson's absence and rookie Courtney Lee added 21 as Orlando scored 72 first-half points.

Indiana has dropped three straight and is allowing an Eastern Conference-worst 107 points per game.

The Pacers fell to the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday, 99-94. Mike Dunleavy scored 21 points and All-Star Danny Granger added 18 in the loss.

Orlando has won the three previous meetings this season, including a 135-111 triumph on January 27.
