Pacers look for back-to-back wins vs. Bobcats

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The Indiana Pacers and Charlotte Bobcats are in similar positions - teetering on the brink of Eastern Conference obscurity.

The Pacers will be looking for back-to-back wins when they visit the Bobcats on Wednesday.

Indiana and Charlotte will both likely spend most of Wednesday on the phone fielding trade offers while trying to decide if buying or selling is the appropriate course of action. Both teams are currently 4 1/2 games out of the last playoff spot in the East, though none of the teams in front of them are particularly strong.

The Bobcats have been active on the trade front all season, importing Raja Bell and Boris Diaw from the Phoenix Suns in December and getting Vladimir Radmanovic from the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this month.

The latest rumors out of Charlotte have the team shopping top scorer Gerald Wallace.

The Pacers have been much quieter but would certainly be open to moving point guard Jamaal Tinsley, who has yet to play this season after falling out of favor with management.

One player who is unlikely to move at the Thursday deadline is Pacers All-Star Danny Granger, who collected 20 points and 10 rebounds Tuesday in a 100-89 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Bobcats are coming off a 107-102 overtime loss to the Orlando Magic on Tuesday. Raymond Felton, whose name has also been bandied about in recent weeks, led the way with 22 points and 10 boards for Charlotte.
