Magic close six-game road trip in Indiana

Dec 6, 2006 - 3:27 PM Orlando (14-5) at Indiana (9-10) 7:00 pm EST

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Orlando Magic try to close out their six-game road trip in nearly perfect fashion when they visit the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday.

First, the Magic must not let the thoughts of a three-game slide here linger. That should not be a problem since they are riding high after earning their first win in Sacramento since 1993, a span of 11 straight losses.

Jameer Nelson buried the decisive 3-pointer with 1.7 seconds left as Orlando posted a 92-89 triumph Monday. Dwight Howard collected 18 points and 16 rebounds and Nelson finished with 14 points and seven assists.

Hedo Turkoglu had 14 points for the Magic, who improved to 4-1 on their trek.

The Pacers are home for the first time in six contests. They wrapped up their trip with a 101-87 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday, a game where both teams combined for 44 turnovers.

Jermaine O'Neal scored 18 points and pulled down 11 boards and Sarunas Jasikevicius added 16 points for Indiana, which has dropped three straight.
