Healthy Jazz set to face stumbling Timberwolves

Feb 25, 2009 - 11:28 AM Utah (34-23) at Minnesota (18-38) 8:00 p.m. EST

MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Utah Jazz are finally healthy and ready to make a surge up the Western Conference.

The Jazz will put their optimum lineup on the floor for just the second time this season when they face the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.

Eight days after getting Andrei Kirilenko back on the floor, Utah welcomed star forward Carlos Boozer back into the fold on Monday. The 6-9 Boozer eased his way back in with two points in 21 minutes as the Jazz easily dispatched the Atlanta Hawks, 108-89.

Utah has lost 140 games to injury this season and has used 15 different starting lineups.

Despite the roster turmoil, the Jazz are in the midst of a five-game winning streak and have won eight of nine.

The Timberwolves are not dealing quite as well with their injuries, falling to 1-5 since Al Jefferson went down with a season-ending knee injury while allowing an average of 111 points per game.

Minnesota's most recent setback came against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday, 118-100. The Timberwolves allowed 66 points in the second half.

Utah has won both meetings this season, including a 112-107 win in Salt lake City on January 20 in which Paul Millsap collected 28 points and 15 rebounds.
