Fading Pistons visit Magic

Feb 27, 2009 - 11:19 AM Detroit (27-29) at Orlando (42-15), 7:00 p.m. EST

ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- It may be turning from bad to worse for the Detroit Pistons.

Detroit hopes to halt an eight-game losing streak when it visits the Orlando Magic on Friday.

The Pistons are on their longest skid since they dropped eight straight from December 21, 1994- January 8, 1995 and may be without Allen Iverson.

Iverson played just eight minutes before a back injury sidelined him for the rest of Detroit's 90-87 setback to New Orleans on Wednesday, and his status is undetermined.

Richard Hamilton scored 24 points off the bench to lead Detroit, but he vented after the game that he is not happy about not starting if the team isn't going to win. The Pistons are 4-12 since removing Hamilton from the starting lineup.

Orlando, which was defeated by Detroit in the Eastern Conference semifinals last season, is coming off a 114-109 victory at New York on Wednesday.

Hedo Turkoglu scored 33 points and Dwight Howard had 24 and 21 rebounds in the win.
