Mavericks aim to continue home dominance of Raptors

Mar 1, 2009 - 7:43 AM Toronto (23-37) at Dallas (35-23), 9:00 p.m. EST

DALLAS (Ticker) -- The Toronto Raptors will try and do something Sunday they haven't done this decade: beat the Dallas Mavericks in their own building.

Toronto hopes to snap an eight-game road losing streak at Dallas when it continues its three-game road trip.

The Raptors, who have lost five of their last six road games, opened their brief road trip with a 133-113 setback at Phoenix on Friday. Shaquille O'Neal scored 45 points to pace the Suns.

Shawn Marion had 27 points and 11 rebounds in the loss for Toronto, which hasn't won in Dallas since December 30, 1999.

The Mavericks have won four straight contests at home, including Friday's 110-108 overtime triumph against Oklahoma City.

Dirk Nowitzki scored 41 points - 17 of which came in the fourth quarter and overtime. Nowitzki had only totaled 40 points in his previous three games combined.
