Grizzlies try to solve road woes vs. lowly Clippers

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Road victories have been hard to come by for the Memphis Grizzlies this season. Well, victories in general have - but they've come out on top just three times away from home all season.

That's exactly where they find themselves on Wednesday night, as they complete the second leg of a Hollywood back-to-back with a showdown against the Los Angeles Clippers.

They were in L.A. on Tuesday and it went as expected, as they fell to the high-powered Lakers, 99-89, despite a respectable performance that earned measured praise from head coach Lionel Hollins.

However, given their road woes, the next few weeks can't look too appetizing for the Grizzlies. Ten of their next 14 games are away from home, including meetings with the likes of Houston, Boston, New Orleans, Miami and Portland.

As for the Clippers, they suffered a 106-78 rout at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, shooting just 37 percent while getting outrebounded, 52-37. The loss came in the absence of leading scorer Zach Randoph, who was not with the team so he could be with his sick father.
