Pistons aim for another win over Magic

AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) -- The Detroit Pistons will go for their second win over the Orlando Magic in the last two weeks and a season sweep when the teams meet Monday.

Detroit halted its eight-game losing streak with a 93-85 win in Orlando on February 27 behind 31 points and six assists by Richard Hamilton.

The Pistons had won four straight since Hamilton was re-inserted into the starting lineup before a 87-83 setback at Atlanta Saturday. Hamilton had been coming off the bench until Allen Iverson left a contest with back problems on February 25.

In a December 29 meeting between the two teams, an 88-82 win over the Pistons, Rodney Stuckey led the way with 18 points.

Orlando has not lost since its latest setback to Detroit, reeling off four straight wins.

Dwight Howard had 18 points and 15 rebounds Sunday to lead the Magic to an 86-79 victory over the Boston Celtics as the two, along with the Cleveland Cavaliers, fight for the top spot in the Eastern Conference.
