Wade, Heat conclude four-game road trip vs. Anthony, Nuggets

Dec 8, 2006 - 2:46 PM Miami (8-10) at Denver (10-6) 10:30 pm EST

DENVER (Ticker) -- Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat will try to conclude their West Coast swing on a positive note.

Wade and the Heat conclude their four-game road trip with a stop against red-hot Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets on Friday.

Backed by a heroic effort from Wade, who finished only one rebound shy of a triple-double, Miami held on for a 93-91 overtime victory at Sacramento on Thursday.

Wade scored 32 points to lead his club in scoring for the 15th consecutive time while Udonis Haslem grabbed 14 rebounds for the Heat, who have won four of their last six contests.

Anthony scored 24 points and Marcus Camby chipped in 11 and 15 rebounds, but it was not enough to keep Denver from dropping a 98-96 decision to the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.

It marked the first time in seven contests that Anthony failed to score at least 30 points. The NBA's leading scorer at 31.7 points per game, Anthony fell only one game shy of the franchise record for consecutive 30-point performances.

The Nuggets have won four straight home games against the Heat and three in a row overall.
