James, Cavaliers look to extend winning streak vs. Kings

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers look to extend streaks on Friday. The Cavs will seek to run their winning streak to four games when they visit the Sacramento Kings and their superstar forward is looking for his fourth straight triple-double.

On Thursday, James had his third straight triple-double - 34 points, 13 assists, 10 rebounds - and the Cavaliers pulled away over the final seven minutes to beat the sinking Phoenix Suns, 119-111.

"For 82 games in today's NBA, it's probably impossible to average a triple double," Cleveland coach Mike Brown said. "But if I'm going to say there is one guy who can do it, it's our guy."

James said he just does what is necessary.

"Three straight wins, that's what it's about," he said. "I try to do any and everything for our team to win basketball games. If I've got to go out and do that, then I'm all for it."

With the win, the Cavaliers set a team record for road victories in a single season (23). They hope to continue their prowess against the lowly Kings, who are 10-22 at home.

Sacramento, meanwhile, is coming off a deflating 99-98 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday at Arco Arena.

The Kings have been dealing with lingering ailments, as Kevin Martin turned his chronically sore left ankle in the second quarter against the Thunder and Spencer Hawes bruised his knee after falling.
